HISTORY

Ringlord Kennels is owned and operated by my wife (Christina) and I (Mario).  We first met in 1990 and being doggy people by 1992 had decided to get a dog.  Chris had always owned "rescue" dogs from the pound and whilst ths is noble, I had my heart set on replacing the only dog I had ever loved, my childhood mate "Rags".  Rags was a liver, leather worn Curly Coated Retriever by the time he left me on this side of the Rainbow bridge and I had never forgotten his loyalty, companionship and the oh so strong bonds we had formed.  Rags came to our family aged about 9, from a couple whose married had broken apart.  My commitment to Curlies overcame any of Chris's reservations and in November that year we made the trip from Melbourne to Geelong and returned with a black CCR later to become CH Pettavel Pavorotti.

AT first Rags was our darling pet and we enjoyed many hours with him sitting by the fireside or walking the beaches at Brighton, the suburb we lived in.  Our lives were to change irrevocably however in 1993 when we attende the CCRA Victoria Championship show as observers.  By January 1994 we had entered Rags in his first show at Bacchus Marsh where he won BOB with an 8 point Challenge.. we were hooked!
